About us
Global Shapers Community, an initiative by the World Economic Forum; is a global network of passionate changemakers spanning over 500 local hubs. Each independent hub identifies and leads impactful projects that address the most pressing challenges in their communities.
The Surat Hub, established in 2014, is one of two hubs in Gujarat. ased in Surat, a vibrant city renowned as the "Diamond City of India" and a global hub for textiles, we draw inspiration from the city's dynamic spirit of innovation and enterprise. Our team consists of dynamic individuals aged 18 to 30 from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to creating positive change. We leverage our unique skills to tackle local issues through innovative and impactful projects.
We operate using a project-based model, enabling us to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously. Each project is goal-oriented, varies in duration, and is led by a hub member with support from dedicated volunteers.
